Padraig Rynne's NOTIFY.
A world premiere concert will take place in Laois at The Dunamaise Arts Centre this month, and it is free to the public.
The Irish contemporary trad band NOTIFY is to be joined by sean-nós sensations, siblings Caoimhe and Séamus Uí Fhlatharta, on Friday September 22 for a very special event as part of national Culture Night.
They will collaborate to give a first performance of new compositions from NOTIFY’s forthcoming album Airnéan.
The two acts first performed together in January 2013 in Ennis followed by a sell out headline show as part of the world famous Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, Scotland. The energy and success of those shows encouraged both to continue their collaboration.
NOTIFY are a six piece Irish based contemporary instrumental ensemble fronted by concertina player Pádraig Rynne, a virtuoso musician and composer. The band was created by Pádraig following the success of his 2013 album of the same name.
Currently Pádraig has assembled five of Irish music’s best musicians joining him for live concerts with Tara Breen (Fiddle), Davie Ryan (Drums), Rory McCarthy (Piano & Rhodes), Adam Taylor (Electric Bass) and Hugh Dillon (Acoustic & Electric Guitars).
The Uí Flatharta siblings from Connemara are accomplished multi-instrumentalists who have shared world stages with many renowned performers.

Airnéan was recorded in March 2023 in Monique studios in East Cork. The album was produced by band members Pádraig Rynne and Davie Ryan and features all self-composed melodies by band members combined with old songs with a new approach sung by Séamus and Caoimhe.
Celebrating 10 years since the formation of the band, the producer of their 2013 album entitled “NOTIFY” returns as a guest musician to present the premiere of some of the tracks from the album.
NOTIFY with Caoimhe and Séamus Uí Fhlatharta takes place in the Dunamaise Theatre Portlaoise on Friday September 22 at 8pm. Tickets free but must be booked on www.dunamaise.ie or from the box office 057 8663355.
