A celebrity Irish chef is returning to Laois for a special Christmas cookery demonstration.
Ireland AM chef Edward Hayden will present A Christmas Cookery Demo evening, at the BloomHQ building in Mountrath this November 21.
The special event is organised as a local fundraiser by the Class of 1990, a group of past pupils of the Brigidine Convent who are raising money to launch a Music and Grinds school in the former convent bedrooms of their old school, now a community building.

"Exciting news, the class of 1990 are planning another event so mark your calendars!
"This event will be a pre-Christmas evening out for friends and family where you'll get some delicious Christmas food ideas from one of Ireland's best-known chefs with a mince pie and refreshments reception and also the chance to win great prizes.
"All in aid of the Class of 1990 Restoration Fund to help restore and repurpose our old school for continued community use.
Times Plus booking details coming soon," the group have announced.
The Christmas Cookery Demo evening will be held on Tuesday, November 21 at St Philomena's Hall, Brigidine Convent, Mountrath. Tickets will cost €25.
