Forest Fest in Emo, Laois
A Laois music and arts festival other than Electric Picnic has announced an extension of their Early Bird discount ticket sales period.
Forest Fest which last July brought big names to Emo village like Sister Sledge, Suede, The Proclaimers and Paul Brady, as well as a traditional Irish stage.
It is returning for the third year for a three day weekend in July 2024.
Created by Portlaoise solicitor and Emo pub and restaurant owner Philip Meagher, it also served as a platform for many Laois artists like The Lost Messiahs.
Last year the festival based in Emo GAA grounds was unlucky with heavy rain forcing a change to park and ride facilities.
The line-up for the next festival is promised to be revealed on February 1.
Early bird and loyalty tickets went on sale in mid December, suggested as Christmas gifts.
However the limited release did not sell out, and the organisers have now announced an extension of that offer, ahead of general sales in February.
"Due to overwhelming demand and the enthusiasm we've received from music and arts enthusiasts like yourself, we've decided to extend the Early Bird Day Tickets offer!
"This means you, your friends and family still have the opportunity to secure these discounted tickets and make the most of this fantastic event. Don’t forget these tickets are interchangeable for any day you prefer," they say.
The festival is to take place from July 19 to 21.
"Don't miss out on this chance to experience an unforgettable weekend filled with incredible music, captivating arts, and a vibrant atmosphere. Early Bird tickets not only save you money but also ensure you have a place booked for Forest Fest.
"Tickets are limited so be sure to get yours before they go on general release in February. Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to seeing you at Forest Fest this summer," the organisers say, inviting customers to share the discount code of Loyalty15 with others.
The discount priced weekend tickets are €180, and day tickets at €85, with campervan and caravan passes at €95, and camping passes from €30 each, all plus booking fees, available from the festival website.
