Bronze medal awarded to Laois show garden at Bord Bia Bloom

'Love Letter to Abbeyleix', which impressed this year's judges, was designed by Patrick Weisser, landscaper at Abbeyleix House and Farm.

The festival of flowers, food and fun returns is currently underway at the Phoenix Park in Dublin and will run until Monday, June 3. 

Across five stages in the 70-acre site, visitors can discover tips and tricks on gardening, gastronomy and sustainable living in a series of talks and demos.

The bustling Food Village will feature almost 100 of Ireland’s leading Irish food and drink companies along with a host of foodie features.

From Laois, The Merry Mill, based in Stradbally, G’s Gourmet Jam, from Abbeyleix, and Ballykilcavan Brewing Company also from Stradbally also feature at this year's event.
