Laois Drama Festival announce exciting lineup

Mountmellick Drama Group have announced an exciting programme of events for the 2025 Mountmellick Drama Festival, with tickets now on sale. 

From Friday March 7 to Friday March 14, a range of fantastic performances will take place in the Community Arts Centre, Mountmellick under the patronage of the Amateur Drama Council of Ireland.

Season tickets are officially on sale through Eventbrite, with a limited number of season tickets available.

Here is the fantastic lineup announced by Mountmellick Drama Group:

Friday March 7- "The Weir" by Conor McPherson performed by Upstage Players, Claremorris.

Saturday March 8- "The Snapper" by Roddy Doyle, performed by Clann Machua.

Sunday March 9- The Blackwater Lightship by Colm Tóibín, performed by Ballyduff Drama Group.

Monday March 10- "Rathmines Road" by Deirdre Kinahan, performed by Thurles Drama Group.

Tuesday March 11- "Skylight" by David Hare, performed by Wexford Drama Group.

Wednesday March 12- "The Beacon" by Nancy Harris will be performed by Bunclody Kilmyshall Drama Group.

Thursday March 13- "Dancing at Lughnasa" by Brian Friel, performed by Sliabh Aughty Drama Group

Friday March 14- "Class" by Iseult Golden and David Horan, performed by Glenamaddy Drama Group.

"Season tickets cost €80.00 plus booking fee and will gain you entry to all eight nights of wonderful drama!" a representative of Mountmellick Drama Group announced.

"This year we have gone back to unreserved seating so you don’t need to pick your seats in advance," they said.

Nightly tickets will be going on sale shortly, with concession nightly tickets available on the door only.
