Charity fundraiser for the Doyle family in Kavanagh's

A special fundraiser takes place this weekend to raise funds for Michelle Doyle and her family in the wake of the passing of her husband Chistopher.

The Doyle Family support Fund is organising a social fundraising event on Friday, July 15 in Kavanaghs (The Wren’s Nest), Main St Portlaoise.

It is hope to sell 5,000 tickets which cost €5 each.

The event will feature local Bands Blessed and Soulset.

Tickets will be on sale from in the Portlaoise Parish Centre Shop or can be bought directly from PJ Kavanagh.

Michelle is left to care for seven young children all aged under 8.

A big aim for the fundraisers is to raise funds for a nine seater car to enable Michelle continue with her school runs.

The organisers are allso looking to local businesses for support and donation.
