Learn  to jive in Laois village

Gerard Butler & Declan Nerney.

Renowned Dance teacher Gerard Butler is bring his jiving workshop to St Bernadette’s Hall.

Gerard has travelled all over the world passing on his dance talents and now he is coming to south Laois.

Gerard holds nine All Ireland titles for different styles of dance. All are welcome to this workshop and you don’t need a partner, we will sort you out!.

At a young age his father taught him Ceili and Set dancing while his mother taught him social dancing. He then started teaching dancing at the age of 17 and is now a professional dance teacher.

 As well as teaching dance Gerard is involved with arranging dance weekends in different parts of Ireland and along with the Butler family does a lot of work for The Hospice Charity.

Gerard also writes in the Country Living Magazine every month giving news and reviews on dance events round the country
