Congratulations are extended to Dan and Margaret Culliton of Derrylahan who last week celebrated the Golden Jubilee of their wedding in1963. Their children and grandchildren attended Mass celebrated in Camross Church and later at a function in the Parish centre joined by the couple.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Sunday, December 1 in St. Fergals Church Camross at 10am for the late Nell McGrath ( mother of Helan Ryan Clonin ) who died recently in Ballyferriter Co. Kerry.
Well done to Molly Donnery of the Glebe Coolrain who was chosen as Scor award winner in the Laois GAA Awards. Molly is a member of Camross Comhaltas and plays the Harp. Molly competed at the Laois finals in Camross recently and was later announced as the overall winner in Camross the second person from the club to be honoured in this category. Last Saturday night, Molly was guest of Laois County Board at the awards presentation in the Heritage where she was presented with her award. Molly brought the Camross awards on the night to three the senior hurling award went to Zane Keenan winning his second and Niamh Dollard of Derrynaseera received the Camogie award well done to all concerned.
Coolrain Vintage presentation night in the Village Inn in Coolrain on Sat 30th Nov. Proceeds from their successful vintage run recently are being presented to Coolrain Tidy Village & Camross N S.
Camross & Killenure NS clothes collection in aid of Fr Paddy Hylands mission in Kenya will take place on Wednesday, November 27. All unwanted clothes, etc can be left in the play shelters of both schools.
