Our juvenile Chess Club takes place every Wednesday at 3.30pm. We are starting a new adult chess club and looking for people to sign up, it will take place every Thursday, 6pm -7pm. Storytelling 3-6 year olds every Saturday at 11.30am. We are currently taking names for a knitting club which we hope to start in mid November, more detail will follow. The next meeting of our Adult Book Club is on Thursday November 28, between 6-7 pm. The book to be discussed is ‘At Swim-to-Birds’ by Flann O’Brien. Our current art exhibition is by Sarah Delany. Paradzai Havetitye will continue to exhibit wooden sculptures in the art gallery. Eadrom children’s art class for Christmas takes place on Saturday December 7 between 11am and 12.30pm in the library. It caters for 6-12 year olds. Booking is essential. Contact the library at 057-8730020. Christmas Storytelling with Lesley on Saturday December 14 at 11.30am for 3-7 year olds, with Special Guest!
Vocalese will perform Christmas Carols in the library in Abbeyleix at 6pm on Thursday 19th December. All are welcome. Free Admission

Abbeyleix Business & Community Development Forum are putting the final touches to their 3rd Christmas Market and Craft Fair, which is due to take place on Sat December 7, 2013 in the Market Square from 4pm. The fair will include food stalls, school choir, craft stalls, music and entertainment, christmas fayre and gifts, and lots lots more.
