Laois Macra held a successful information evening for new members on Thursday, January 26 in the Macra Hall Portlaoise.

Laois Macra is a youth organisation that allows young people to meet up and meet people not only from Laois but from all over the country. It gives people great travel opportunities to see parts of the country and the world that you might never normally get to see. It gives people great opportunities to learn new skills and create networks of friends that will last a lifetime.
Clubs in Laois include: Ard Eireann, Durrow/Abbeyleix, East Laois, Mountmellick, Rathdowney and Portlaoise. Members of each club were available on the night to talk to.
Laois Macra holds farm walks, sports competitions like basketball and soccer, training courses in several different areas, plenty of social and travel activities and everything else in between.
