In PICTURES: Laois students plant the volunteer seeds at expo

An idea to promote volunteerism that was hatched by the young social innovators to run a SocVol day at Heywood College came to fruition in October this year. 

The SocVol Day, co-ordinated by Fiona Brennan with the help of the Laois Volunteer Centre, saw local societies, clubs and most importantly voluntary groups come to school to meet students  as part of nurturing volunteering in Laois.
