A Portlaoise business has set its sights on raising funds for Laois Down Syndrome by hosting a virtual duck race.
Laois Hire is organising the online event and has also launched a fundraising page through idonate.ie.
"We've chosen to fundraise for Laois Down Syndrome through a Virtual Duck Race! All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause," said Laois Hire.
"It's a minimum of €3 for a duck or €5 for two. The race will take place on Friday 28th of June. A link will be sent to your inbox the night before to track your ducks' progress!
"We hope that you can help us by donating whatever you can."
Laois Down Syndrome is a voluntary association dedicated to the support, education, health, welfare, well-being and independence of its members.
