Laois student heads Stateside to take part in competition with Microsoft

A Laois student has headed Sateside to take part in an exciting competition.

Andrew Coyne, a student at St Mary's CBS Portlaoise will take part in The Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in Anaheim, California.

The competition, which is presented is a global competition that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Top students are invited to represent their respective countries at the World Championship. In some countries or regions, students are required to participate in a National Championship, and the winners of that event continue on to the World Championship.

A spokesperson for St Mary's CBS Portlaoise, shared an image of Andrew saying: "We would like to wish Andrew Coyne, our MOS Champion, the very best of luck in Anaheim, California as he competes at the Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business World Championship!
