The annual Durrow Scarecrow Festival got off to a fabulous start with the sun even making a welcome appearance on Sunday, July 28. Photographer Denis Byrne was there to capture all the fun. CONTINUE READING BELOW PHOTO


The festival kicked off with a grand opening by comedy legend Bernard O'Shea followed by live performances from the Durrow Pipe Band, the Kelly Brothers, Abbeyfolk, and The Finns.


The Scarecrow Village is set to be the hub of activities for the entire festival which runs until August 5. 


Open daily, it features live music, puppet shows, bouncy castles, carnival games, face painting, clay workshops, and more!
