A Laois boy with Cerebral Palsy who took the longest walk of his life on Christmas Eve for charity, has raised an incredible final total.
Reilly Kinahan from Portlaoise has Quadroplegic Cerebral Palsy, making walking and balancing very difficult. He was given a stability assistance dog called Miller three years ago, transforming his ability to walk without constantly falling.

On December 24, Reilly set out from the Make & Mark in Fairgreen in the company of his family and friends, walking into Portlaoise and looping back to his starting point, a total of 3km, taking him 43 minutes. Read how he got on here.

This January his proud mother Yvonne Curtin revealed the total raised, so Irish Dogs for the Disabled can train other dogs to help other children.

It comes to an incredible €10,050.

"Céad míle fáilte : A million thank yous. For every like, share, comment, and donation, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

"Never in our wildest dreams did we think we could raise so much for the wonderful @irishdogsforthedisabled , but we did, and it's all thanks to every one of you.

"I'm so proud of my children and all they achieve, and for Reilly and Miller to take this on and absolutely smash it out of the park, it's just mind-blowing," Yvonne said.

Well done Reilly!
