There was a great turnout for the very first Mick Murray Memorial Road Run which was held to raise funds for the Friends of Abbeyleix Hospital. The event, organised by Mr Murray's family, was held on Sunday, March 16 in Ballyroan. Ballyroan Vintage Club described Mr Murray, who passed away on St Patrick's Day 2019, as someone who is missed by the whole community. "He was a founding member of the Ballyroan Vintage Club. A man of few words who had a great love for family, friends and all that is vintage. His knowledge of machinery was immense and you could find Mick at any time during the day in the shed working on the latest project."

Tony Mulhall was there on the day and took photos for the Leinster Express/ Laois Live.
