Are you a member of a local volunteer group in the local areas of People First Credit Union covering Portlaoise, Stradbally, Abbeyleix or Athy and surrounding common bond areas?

People First Credit Union is delighted to announce the third year of the Community Champions Award; a prestigious €10,000 award aimed at recognising and supporting the extraordinary efforts of local volunteer groups within our common bond area. Last year, the initiative was presented to the well-deserving winners, Ballinakill Community Development Association, in recognition of their virtual tour project.

With deep appreciation for the exceptional contributions of volunteers, People First Credit Union continues its commitment to fostering community development and well-being through this significant €10,000 award which will be presented to a local
volunteer group. The €10,000 award is designed to empower a local volunteer group within our common bond, who have a vision to generate sustainable benefits for both the group and the wider community.

Carol Murphy, Marketing Manager for People First Credit Union, highlighted the importance of volunteerism "Our credit union is powered by the spirit of volunteerism. It is with great pride that we continue the Community Champions Award, for a third
year, building on the success of last year’s winner, Ballinakill Community Development Association, and their virtual tour project."
