The Clients and Staff at the Day Care Centre New Road Portlaoise would like to acknowledge with thanks an anonymous donation of €400 received before Christmas. We also wish to thank most sincerely all those who contributed to the success of the cake and bric-a-brac sale held on November 24 ,and also the raffle in aid of the Christmas Party on the December 20. The proceeds will go towards the fund to replace the existing ill fitting timber framed single glazed windows and doors. We still need to raise around €5000 and some of the Staff at the Centre plan to do the Women’s mini marathon in June to raise funds for the refurbishment and we are looking for volunteers to join us. If you have not yet committed to a charity and would like to help us out please contact the Centre at 057 86 22944 for a Sponsorship Card.
