The annual report we received last year stated that Timahoe has serious potential to do well in the competition, and it complemented the efforts of those involved.

Hopefully more will get involved as the evenings get longer, the sense of civic pride seems to fading in rural Ireland and we hope that it has not already nor will it ever visit our village.

So if you’re up for a challenge a few hours a week to help your community then please get involved.

As the saying going, your village needs you.
