laois open door

Laois Open Door Theatre presents The Cripple of Inishmaan by Martin McDonagh in the Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise on Friday and Saturday April 15/16 at 8pm nightly.

This is a must-see production, it has fantastic comedy, brilliant drama and dazzling suspense.

This play is set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland and is a strange comic tale in the great tradition of Irish storytelling. This is one of Martin McDonagh’s most brilliant plays.

This year’s star of the Raheen Panto Aaron Shiel has taken on the demanding principal role of

Billy. His portrayal of the cripple is tremendous and his attention to detail exceptional.

Joining Aaron on stage are Joe Murphy, David Whelan, Mary Delaney, Eadaoin O’Connell, Anne Delaney, Vinny Hogan, Sarah O’Sullivan, and Paul Kenna.

The play is directed by Anne Campbell.

Book early to avoid disappointment.
