Fisherstown Tractor Run hits the right gear

A great day was had by all at the 2016 Fishertown Tractor run held on Sunday July 3 in aid of the Breast Cancer Unit at St James's Hospital.

Over 160 tractors took part, Starting from the Fisherman's Inn, taking in Emo and returning an hour and a half later.

The amount raised won't be known until all the sponsorship cards are in, but it is expected to be near €9,000.

The organising committee wish to thank the Boland, Carroll, Whelan families for the use of their land for the event.

They also thanked Noone transport and all who played music on the day.

The management and staff at the Fisherman's Pub were also thanked for going the extra mile in the service provided.

Thanks are also extended to all who gave spot prizes and took sponsorship cards and all the tractor drivers.

The committee is grateful to everybody who helped out on the day and to all the people who turned out to help make the annual run a brilliant day's entertainment in aid of a good cause.
