The next Portarlington Community Development Association / Derryounce Project Fundraising Walk 5K & 10K takes place on Saturday October 29th.
Registration at 2pm at the Hawthorn Bar, Patrick Street. Start time 2.30pm. Cost €5.
Route: Derryounce 5K approx 1 hour. 10K approx 2 hours.
Refreshments after in the Hawthorn.
The Derryounce Project is an ongoing development for the benefit of Portarlington and the community.

A €64,500 grant had been approved to proceed to phase-one of the Derryounce Lake Development. The funds would be used to develop three looped walks on the site.
Leases have been with Bord na Mona and Coillte to develop and manage the amenity.
The community believes Derryounce can be a big tourism attraction.
