Borris-in-Ossory annual Novena  for the faithful departed

Catholic parish in Laois hold annual novena for faithful departed from November 2 to November 10

The annual Novena for the faithful departed began in Borris-in-Ossory parish last Wednesday, November 2 (All Souls Day-) and will conclude this week.

On Wednesday, November 2 there was a Healing Mass with anointing of sick. On Thursday, November 3 there was a Reconciliation Mass with Confessions.

Monday, November 7 saw the celebration of Mass of the Angels which was offered especially for young people and babies who have died in the parish and surrounding parishes.
A Mass will be offered on Tuesday 8 for people who have died in parish during the year.
On Wednesday, November 9 will be the Novena Mass in Killasmeestia at 7.30 p.m. and on Thursday, November 10 the Novena Mass will be celebrated in Knockaroo at 7.30 p.m.
A special booklet and candles will be available each evening during Novena.

Parishioners are requested to bring your List of Deceased Relatives and Friends and place them in the Urn in the Garden of Remembrance near the Altar.
