Rainbows Programme gets underway in Portarlington to help children cop with loss

Portarlington Parish runs programme aimed at helping children cope with bereavement or other difficult loss

Rainbows Programme

A programme to help children recover from a bereavement or painful experience is set to get underway in Portarlington this week.

The Rainbows Programme for Primary School children of the parish aged 7-13 years will commence in the Presentation Primary School, Station Road on Wednesday November 9  from 2.30pm – 3.15pm and every Wednesday at the same time.

Portarlington Parish says the programme consists of twelve sessions, one session weekly with two ‘Celebrate Me’ days. Rainbows’ is a support programme for children who have experienced death, a separation or are struggling through a painful experience.
