The community of Ballinakill and surrounding areas in Laois can look forward to a festive evening next weekend at the village's
Christmas Lights Festival.
The organisers say there will be a selection of festive stands, carol singing, entertainment for children and face painting. There will also be a draw on the night for a monster hamper. Tickets are available locally for the draw.
"Hope to see you all for what will be a fun festive evening and a lovely kick start to the Christmas celebrations," say the Lights Festival team.
The Ballinakill Christmas Lights Festival takes place on Saturday the 9th of December from 6pm until 8.30pm.
Meanwhile, the Christmas fair will be held on December 17 this year. Mark it in your diary.
