A great excuse for a girly get-together is lined up in Ballyroan in Laois next week.
The Parents Council of Scoil Eoin Phoil II Naofa is holding its first Ladies Night, and it promises to be a fun event packed with prizes and music.
Lorraine Sinnott is assistant treasurer.
“It's our first real fundraising night since the new school opened, and it's a chance for new parents to get to meet others, and what woman doesn't love a ladies night out,” she said.
The night is on Saturday February 24, in Whelan's pub starting at 8.30pm. There will be a glass of prosecco on arrival, finger food, and music by Tim Chambers. Cocktails will cost €12 for two.
There are plenty of chances to pick up a spot prize, as well as a raffle and a prize for best dressed lady, all kindly sponsored by local businesses. The money raised will help to ease the costs on parents of events like school tours and swimming lessons.
Tickets are €10, available from Lorraine at 085 8137127, or Aoife at 083 3889212.
They are also on sale in Whelan's, and the Gala shop.
