Walkers meet every morning at 9.30am in the square for a walk around the Tea Rooms up to Heywood Gardens.
Bingo continues every Monday night in the hall on the square at 8.30pm.

Spink GAA Club annual field day and regional dog show on Sunday August 18. Juvenile football matches on the day. Many fun activities including spin the wheel, bottle stall, meggar, bouncy castle, cart rides, pony rides and lots more. BBQ catering all afternoon.

Irish Wheelchair Association
The Irish Wheelchair Association would like to thank everyone who supported their recent church gate collection. €180 was collected in Ballinakill and €110 collected in Knock.

The entire area was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Kathleen Foyle (nee Daly) of Knock on July 26.
The late Kathleen who was pre-deceased by her husband John was the mother of Joe, Sean and Michael. She was a native of Ballycumber, County Offaly.
She bore her illness with great courage and dignity and she will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbours.
Kathleen was a popular member of the farming community in the Spink area.
Her passing is mourned by her sons, her sister Eilish, brother Michael, brothers in law, sisters in law, extended family and friends. She reposed at the Chapel of Repose, Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise with removal to St Lazerian’s Church, Knock on the Sunday evening.
Con celebrated requiem mass took place on Monday 29 with interment afterwards in St Brigid’s Cemetery, Ballinakill.
There were 7 tables. Winners on 12 games were Tom Moore and Fint Phelan.
Runners up on 10 games were Vera Brennan and Willie Reilly, Eugene Murphy and Mary Farrell, Anita Duggan and Joe Cass.
Raffle winners were Anita Duggan, Jimmy Muldowney, Mary Kelly, Tom Moore.
Cards will be held in the bingo hall for the next two weeks due to renovations in the hall.
