MOUNTRATH GROTTO COMMITTEE
The committee of the Grotto are holding a fundraiser in Eddie Kirwan’s on Saturday 18 of October to raise funds for stone work restoration. Pat Conlon and Christy Cullen will supply the music; there will be a raffle for lots of prizes that have been kindly donated for this worthy cause. Please support this community effort. They would also like to thank everyone for their support to the church gate collection last weekend.
MOUNTRATH SNOOKER CLUB
The snooker club will hold their AGM on Wednesday October 15 at 8.30pm in St Fintan’s Hall. The new snooker season is now open for membership. Seniors €15, juniors €10, OAP €10. The new snooker room’s layout has acquired an extra table (3). All are very welcome.

A great night of laughs at our last meeting. Thanks to all for your input. We will be judging our October theme of ‘clouds’ during our next meeting on Tuesday October 21. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS COMMITTEE
Thank you to all who contributed to the recent collection for the Christmas lights. Your generosity was greatly appreciated. A special word of thanks to the collectors who gave up their time to help out with the collection.
ST FINTAN’S GAA
On Friday October 24 the club will be holding a family fun filled night at the dogs at Newbridge Greyhound Stadium. Tickets are €10 per adult with children under 16 free. Doors open 7pm with first race 7-45pm. Tickets on sale at Martyn’s Centra and Carroll’s Costcutters Mountrath or phone 087

Lotto
The lotto jackpot worth €6200 and held in Purcell was not won. Next draw is in Ollie Gorman’s and the jackpot is €6400.

The sale of jam continues in Costcutters Mountrath and Phelan’s Shop Castletown. We would like to thank everyone for their continuing support for this worthy cause by buying jam and donating fruit.
OUTDOOR GYM
The outdoor gym in the local amenity park can be used by all ages. We would encourage all local clubs and groups to use this facility.
