The snooker hall re-opened last month. Memberships are now available, at a cost of adult €20, child €10 and family €30. Men, women and children are more than welcome and your support would be most valued. At present the Tony Cantwell Shield is being ran, at a cost of €5, names can be given to any committee member. Hard luck to St Fergal’s junior hurling team who were narrowly defeated in extra time by Johnstown in the Leinster final on Saturday, February 23. The team were well represented with players from Rathdowney/Errill, those players were captain Mark Kavanagh, Philip Bergin, Jake Creagh, Jack Kelly, Liam O Connell, Padraig Fortune, Conor Meagher, Shane Bowe, Conor Cummins, Kevin O Dea, Jack Ryan and Richard Corrigan. Also congratulations to Shane Madden and Darragh Carroll from the Rathdowney/Errill club who lined out for Johnstown.
AGM will be held in the centre at Cuan Bhride on Tuesday, March 12 at 8.30. Light refreshments will be served after the meeting. All welcome.

OSSORY CYCLING CLUB
On Easter Sunday there will be three road races held in the area. Starting at the GAA centre, the route is to Coolfin to Larry’s cross, left to Knockabout to the Green roads, left to Donaghmore and back through the town. Two laps of this route will be done, total of 32 miles. All residents along the route will be notified nearer to event.
On Sunday, April 21, the club are holding their second Sportive over 100k and 50K. Starting at the GAA centre to Coolfin, Mountrath, The Cut, Clonaslee, Cadamstown, Kinnity, Roscrea, Borris in Ossory and back to the GAA centre.
Bingo is held every Tuesday Night at 8.30 in the Rathdowney Community Centre. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Bingo is run by the Community Centre Group.

Coffee morning on Friday, March 15, in aid of Our Lady’s Childrens Hospital Crumlin. The coffee morning is open to everyone with or without children to drop in between 10-12.
RATHDOWNEY MEN’S SHED
Open every Thursday morning from 10am to 12 noon at the old convent school. It is great to see new members joining every week and there is always room for more. Men’s shed offers an opportunity for all men to come together to share their skills and talents, learn new ones or simply meet for a chat and a cuppa.
Meet every Monday from 2pm to 4.30pm in the communal centre on Cuan Bhride. They do wonderful work and are like one big family. Our club is always anxious to get new members to join. So come along to us any Monday.
