6th Class Club at the Portlaoise Youth Café every Thursday after school from 4 - 6pm, for all 10-12 year old primary school students. Fully supervised by volunteers trained in child protection and garda vetted. Youth Work Ireland says it is a safe and fun place for 10-12 year olds to mix socially with new friends of their own age. The café has board games, pool tables, ping pong, air hockey, PS3, Wii, X-Box and computers and also a tuck shop. Admission €1 and a parental consent form must be completed to join. Late Patrick Doyle
Condolences to the family of the late Patrick ‘Pad’ Doyle of 58 St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise, who died on Tuesday, September 17. Beloved husband of Edith, and much loved father of Patrick (Jnr), Ger, Eugene,Tracey,and Alison he is also deeply regretted by his loving family by extended family relatives and friends. Reposing at his home with removal to SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for requiem mass. Burial afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.
