ST BRIGID’S ACTIVE RETIREMENT
St Brigid’s Active Retirement Club Garryhinch/Cloneyhurke have just returned from a wonderful four day break and tour of Kerry and Cork. 40 members and guests travelled by coach to and from the Castlerosse Hotel & Golf Resort in Killarney. We had dinner every night at 7.30pm which was a five course meal and we followed that with bingo, also there was music every night in the ballroom with dancing and on our last night they had Irish traditional music. We had two bus tours of Kerry, the first one took Kinsale and we lots of time to explore the town and then to Cork City and the famous Englis Market.
The second tour took us to The Gap of Dunloe, Aghadoe Ruins, Ross Castle, Muckross House and Torc waterfall. We had two stops in the beautiful town of Adare. On the way back in Adare some of our party did a guided tour of Desmond’s Castle and the history attached to it is fascinating. The hotel staff were so helpful and made sure we had everything we wanted. We would like to thank all our committee for making the tour so enjoyable and our wonderful members and guests.
