The Annual Draw will be held on Saturday 15 March and draw cards will be available from this Wednesday next. Looking forward to Lourdes Pilgrimage in July.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Illustrated lecture by Mairead M Johnston, textile and costume historian and consultant. From fame to failure, the Abbeyleix Carpet Factory. Carpets for the first-class staterooms of the Titanic were made here. Ms Johnston is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers and is the author of “Ice and cold storage-a Dublin history” and “Hidden in the pile...the Abbeyleix Carpet Factory”. She holds an M. in Historic House Studies and is a Research Principal with the Thomas Prior Academy.
