Yes there will be a parade in Portarlington this year. The theme this year is ‘Celebrating our achievements’ so if your club or team have won any competition in the past year, we want you in the parade showing off your silverware. If you have set yourself a little goal and achieved it whether it be losing a few pounds or learning to swim, we want you out there telling us about it up on a big placard.

This parade won’t work without a commitment from the clubs, associations, playschools and business and anyone just wanting to dress up and walk in the parade. In order for us to organise the day safely we need one person nominated from each group taking part to help with the stewarding. So send us a message to say you’re on board.

Thank you to the people who turned up for the meeting. Also thank you to the PCDA/Love Port office for their offer of support. Let’s make this a parade to remember. Please contact the PCDA office at 085 8568801, or call in to our office Monday to Friday in the Catholic Club Main St.
