Annual May Sunday Field Day will be held on Sunday May 04 in Killeshin Hall and grounds at 2pm. The Holy Cross Sodality invites its members and Parishioners to be part of their May Sunday celebrations this year. It’s the 130 anniversary of the Sodality, the 70 anniversary of the revival of the procession and it’s also the 20 anniversary of ladies wearing Sash’s for the first time. The Procession leaves from St Clare’s at 10.30am sharp led by the Pipe Band for the 50 year in a row. Bishop Denis and Fr John will walk with us so why not be part of this extra special occasion. The food appeal continues during Lent. Presently they are giving out up to 120 food parcels a week. They are surviving because of donations and the huge number of volunteers helping out. To help make the Lenten Season more meaningful people are invited to leave non-perishable food items in the baskets at the church doors and in the Parish Centre and these will be used to help make up our food parcels.


The priests of the parish thank all who contributed so generously to the quarterly collection for the support of the priests which was taken up over Easter. Outstanding envelopes can still be handed in to office.


James Platt from Killeshin will be volunteering in India with Suas this summer and will be holding a table quiz to raise funds in the Irishman’s on Friday 02 May at 8.30pm. All support greatly appreciated.


Youth Alpha Film Series continues after the Easter Holidays on Thursday 01 May from 4.30 to 5.30 in the Parish Centre. Open to all secondary school students but RSVP essential. Light refreshments afterwards. Youth Pilgrimage to Glendalough for an overnight stay with our Young Adult Pilgrimage this year.

The 36 Annual Cork to Carlow Cycle in aid of County Carlow Wheelchair Association will take place on the 14 and 15 June with further details later. All monies raised stays in Carlow and County to support local services.
