Town in Shock

Town in Shock

It was with devastation and sorrow that the town heard on April 17 of the horrific accident which took the little life of Ciaran Treacy from Kilmalogue, and left his mam Gillian seriously injured and also left his older brother Sean with minor injuries. Deepest sympathy goes to Ciaran’s devastated family. His dad Ronan, mam Gillian, brother Sean, sister Caoimhe, grandparents Pat and Vera Treacy Avondale Estate, Noel and Marie Ryan Stradbally, his aunts, uncles, cousins and his extended family and his little friends. Mass of the Angels took place on Monday April 21 in St Michael’s Church, with funeral after to St Michael’s Cemetery. The huge amount of people who turned up to support the family shows the high esteem that the Treacy and Ryan families are held in. Praying for the Treacy family to cope with this tragedy, and thoughts and prayers for Gillian’s quick recovery from her injuries.

Port Cfrgroup

We are looking for community groups/clubs who want to learn CPR. As we are a voluntary group we don’t charge for training. However, we could always do with help fundraising.

We have new instructors that need to complete just a little more training, so by running courses over the next few months everyone’s a winner. We’ve spent a huge amount of money on training equipment. Money that was raised locally by the community. So it’s time for the community to get something in return.

If you have a club/group who would like CPR training then let us know by private message on our FB page or email pfr@portarlington.ie.
