STRADBALLY FLOWER AND GARDEN CLUB CHANGE OF DATE
Stradbally Flower & Garden Club meeting arranged for Wednesday 4th April has been changed to Tuesday April 3rd in St. Josephs Hall @ 8p.m. The club welcomes Mr. Richard Delmer A.O.I.F.A. from the Newbridge Club to give a Demonstration, and the theme is “EASTER” All are welcome to come. All arrangements will be raffled at the end of the
night. Refreshments will be served.
10KM AND 5KM RUN
Stradbally GAA are holding a 10km and 5km run in Oakvale Woods on Sunday, April 15. Entry fee for the event is €15 and all proceeds raised from the event will go towards the cost of the International Sevens Tournament which the club will be competing in Toronto. First home in the run will collect €100, second will win €60 and third will win €40. Registration for the run will commence at 10am and the race itself will start at 11am. All welcome to join in.

The death occurred on March 29 of Mr Martin (Mahoney) Stapleton, (Moyanna, Vicarstown, Laois). Pre-deceased by his wife Kathleen, beloved father of John, Michael, Martin, Dan, Liam, Pat, Christy, Dominic and Gerard and dear brother of Rose (Dunne) and Tess (O’Connell); deeply mourned by his loving family, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grand- children, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. His remains were eposing at his residence with removal last Friday evening to the Church of the Assumption, Vicarstown and followiing Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 o’c. his remains were interred in Moyanna Cemetery. Deepest sympathy is extended to all.

The Irish Steam Preservation Society’s Narrow Gauge Railway - Stradbally Woodland Express - will have full steam up on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, Sunday 8 and Monday 9, April in The Lawn - Stradbally Hall - from 1.30 to 4.30 pm. each day.

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Stradbally Playground on Easter Saturday, April 7 from 2pm to 4pm. Easter Bunnies will meet you all at Court Square at 1.30 to walk with you up to the Playground for the hunt. We would like to thank Stradbally Playground committee for closing the playground to the public for the two hours in order for us to hold the Easter Egg Hunt. Entrance fee for the hunt is €3.
We are also holding a Bake Sale on Easter Sunday after 11.30 mass. We would appreciate any support for this and if you would like to bake a few cakes or buns for us we would be very grateful. A Race Night is also scheduled for April 21st in Napper Tandy’s. Race cards will be available soon.

Stradbally Parish Gaels and Timahoe Ladies Club in association with Leinster Scrap Ltd are holding a scrap and clothes collection on Saturday, April 7 from 9am-6pm in St. Marys Car Park, Stradbally. ANNUAL LAOIS HUNTER TRIALS
The annual Laois Hunter Trials are to take place on Easter Saturday, April 7 at Stradbally Hall by kind permission of the Cosby family.
