The death took place suddenly on Friday 23 January of Catherine (Ita) Leahy at her residence Templeogue Dublin formally Ballyreilly House Borris-in-Ossory. Ita was living in Dublin for many years where she was Administrator in Hume Street Hospital where she received an honorary fellowship for her work, she was also very involved in her community. Her funeral took place on Wednesday morning in St Jude the Apostle Church to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Sympathy is extended to her brothers Dermot, Eric, Bernie, Fred, sisters Marion and Loretto, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.


The death took place Friday 23 January of Laurence (Lar) Phelan Glebe Donaghmore peacefully at his Brother John’s residence. Lar was involved over the years with GAA and Kilcotton club. Reposing at his brother John’s residence Castletown Donaghmore with removal on Sunday evening to Church of the Assumption Killasmeestia. Requiem mass on Monday celebrated by Rev. Fr Jackie Robinson PP, burial immediately afterwards in Donaghmore Cemetery. Lar was pre-deceased by his sister Mary Haslem. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Josie McDonnell and Eileen Booth, brothers John and Joe, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace.
