Well done to Mountmellick Comhaltas who provided music during the weekend of the Ard Eireann Midsummer Festival. Members took their instruments to the top of Ard Eireann and delighted passing hikers with some jigs, reels and polkas while the hikers, some of whom came from America, took a break for a bite to eat. The Sliabh Bloom Association organised a ceili on the mountain and this was the reason for the music on high. Their group had Irish and English hikers. There were refreshments afterwards in Srahan, Camross followed by more music, singing, story telling and dance. A fun experience for all.
