LATE KATHLEEN MOORE
The death occurred on July 27 of Mrs Kathleen Moore (better known as Colin) formerly of Lake Glen, Portlaoise and Garrons, Stradbally, Co. Laois. Her remains were removed from her residence on Tuesday morning last to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally following which interment took place in Oakvale Cemetery. She is survived by her husband Fergie, sons, daughters, grandchildren and her extended family to whom we tender our deepest sympathy.

MEALS ON WHEELS UPDATE
Tickets on sale for their annual fundraising raffle with €700 in prizemoney. The draw will take place in St. Joseph’s Hall on Saturday,
August 24 commencing at 7pm.
A general meeting of the Stradbally and District Anglers Association will be held in St. Mary’s Hall on Monday, August 12 commencing at 8pm sharp. All members to attend and on the agenda will be the recent worm and fly competitions held at the lake recently.
Next Whist Drive will be held on Friday, August 16 of which the proceeds will be given to the committee of the Tidy Towns. We would be grateful for your support.

Work is to begin on the restoration of the Market House this month. The conservation works are being 75% funded by Laois Partnership, the community and the council are providing the rest.
