Ladies Football says Thank You

Ladies Football says Thank You

Park Ratheniska Ladies Football Club would like to thank everyone who supported them in the recent club / county board fundraiser, Strictly Come Dancing.

Jim Morrin, Chair Park Ratheniska GAA, and his dancing partner, Bernie Behan, St Pauls, reached the final four which tells its own story, Jim was overall top fundraiser, and has the dancing feet, the lifts, the swings, the ballet dancer moves and humour to match it. Park Ratheniska Ladies Gaelic Football Club appreciate his commitment. Overall the club had four dancers who did us proud, all with different styles and entertainment value.

First up were Charlene Duff, who plays for the club, and her father Seán who gave us some spectacular fast moving rock and roll.

Damo Keane, brother of club player Danielle, partnered with Teresa Coss had style and panache. Closing the show we had James Luttrell, aka Michael Flatley, sister of Park Ratheniska player, Maria, and Kyleigh Elgar Ballylinan who were a great closing act.

You need to be fit for football but strictly come dancing is no place for the unfit!

A fun entertaining night was had by all and it was a successful fundraiser for The Laois Ladies County Board and Park Ratheniska club.
