The club thank everyone who supported their recent table quiz. A great turnout with a total of €691 raised for the club.


Clonaslee College PA thank all parents who helped with the Easter Raffle, all who donated items, sold cards and helped in the Bridge Centre selling lines. Winners: First prize €400 hamper of solid fuel and goods: Marguerite Hogan, Tinnahinch, seller: herself. 2nd Prize €120 of solid fuel: Tara Digan c/o Joe Digan, Clonaslee, seller: Orla Fitzgerald. 3rd Prize: Easter Hamper value € 80: Orla O’Brien, Sligo. Ticket sold in Bridge Centre. 2 Promoters Prize of €50 won by Patrick Blake & Nicole Hyland.

Rosenallis Seniors

The Rosenallis Senior Citizens Committee extend a sincere thanks to all who supported their Easter Raffle and all sponsors for their generous donations and prizes. A special thanks to the committee for their continued hard work.

parachute jump

Rosenallis AFC’s main fundraiser will be a parachute jump, with eleven brave volunteers jumping on Saturday, May 24. Your kind support as always is greatly appreciated.

Mountmellick Comhaltas

Well done to the musicians who played for the Bealtaine Tree planting at Kinnitty Castle, recorded by the new Irish based tv channel, to be shown on the launch night this month. Many members entered the Laois Fleadh on the June Bank Holiday weekend. Extra Group and Ceilí band practices will be organised so please attend these. Best of luck to all taking part. A note will be sent out from class regarding the Branch Instrument bank. Please respond to this as we need to document our instruments.


Mountmellick Parish will join the Kildare and Leighlin Diocesan Pilgrimage in Knock on Sunday June 1. All welcome. Bus will leave from the Parish Church at 8.15am. €10 per seat. Book in Parish Office now. Tel: 057/8624390.

St Manman’s Mission

Parish mission in St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee from Monday 19 to 23 May. Masses Mon-Thur 10am & 8pm, Friday 8pm. John Pridmore ex-gangster and author of ‘From Gangland to Promised Land’ will speak on Monday at 8pm. He worked with Mother Theresa and was a friend of Pope John Paul II.
