Carol service
There will be a Carol service in Camross Church on Sunday evening December 21st at 7.30 pm followed by refreshments including mulled wine and Mince pies in the Parish centre.
Clothes collection
There is a clothes collection in the shelters in both Killenure and Camross schools this week and clothes in good condition can be brought today Tuesday, Wednesday and early on Thursday morning when the clothes will be collected from the school shelters.
All proceeds will benefit the Fr Paddy Hyland Missions in Kenya.
Camross Comhaltas
Camross Comhaltas are holding the annual Christmas Concert in Camross Hall on Monday, December 22 at 7PM. Members of the community are very welcome to attend.
School raffle
Camross National School are selling tickets for their Annual Christmas draw and they would appreciate your support for this valuable fundraiser.
Active retirement
Camross active retirement group would like to express their grateful appreciation to all who supported their recent Church gate collection and would like to thank Rev Ian Poulton Church of Ireland and Fr Lalor PP for facilitating this annual event. They wish to thank the following collectors Ger Cuddy Killenure, Nicola and Maeve Breslin Camross (Sunday morning), Hannagh Dooley and Joan Hegarty (Camross on Saturday evening), Hannagh Dooley and Gladys Danne )Annatrim and Lacca) The following amounts were collected Camross 325 euros, Killenure 83 euros, Lacca and Annatrim 168 Euros and a donation of ten euros brought the total to a generous sum of five hundred and eighty six Euros well done to all concerned.
Camogie
Congratulations are extended to Camross and Laois Camogie player Sara Ann Fitzgerald who has been honoured by the Roscrea Community Tourist and Leisure centre and voted Camogie player of the year in the Midlands. This is the second year in a row the honour has come to Camross with Niamh Dollard being honoured last year.
The awards ceremony in the Racket Hall Roscrea will take place on February 20th 2015.

Folk Choir
Camross Folk Choir are holding a Carol Service on Sunday, December 21 at 7.30 p.m. sharp in Camross Church in preparation for the Christmas season. The service will be followed by a mulled wine reception and light refreshments in the hall. We would encourage the people of our community to come out and join us in the service to begin the Christmas Season.
