The walkways at Cashel continue to be a wonderful asset to the local community. The gardens are maturing well and with the good weather due to us it will be a wonderful amenity to make use of. The increasing numbers of joggers and runners at the walkways augors well for the upcoming womens minimarathon on 3rd June. The cuppa and chat in the Rambling House is an added attraction. Anyone interested in running and raising funds for Rockview Walkways would be very welcome. You can give your name to Ann or Michael at the upcoming 5k fun run/walk in Ballyroan this Wed evening from 6.15pm in Delaney’s Lounge Ballyroan.

The second fun run/walk takes places this Wed evening in Ballyroan. The distance is 5k and registration takes place from 6.15pm in Delaney’s Lounge. We had over 200 participants taking part in the Abbeyleix 4k and it would be fantastic to attain the same if not more! There is a prize for the first male and female and U16 juniors. There are plenty of spot prizes so everyone who finishes is in with a chance to win. Refreshments will be served immediately after in Delaneys. Ballyroan Abbeyleix & District AC would like to thank all who participate in our fun run series. Training continues on Tues evenings from 7:30 and new members are always welcome. There is a beginners jogging session from the Manor carpark every Thurs eve from 7pm and again newcomers are always welcome.

Date for your diary. This June bank holiday there will be a family fun weekend taking place in Ballyroan Gaa grounds.
