THE pupils of Paddock NS along with their teacher Ms Alison Phelan recently went on a trip to Croke Park and the Zoo compliments of the RSA.
The school annually enters the 2nd class ‘ Hi Glo Seatbelt Sheriff ‘ competition and for the second time a pupil got shortlisted for the final adjudication in Croke Park. Aoibheann Dalton with her classroom were treated to a great day out both in Croke Park and the Zoo.
She received a runner up prize for her school of €500 with her poster entitled ‘Drivers get an awful fright - if we don’t wear something bright’.
Her classroom mate Dylan Collins was a previous winner of the same amount in this competition. Well done to all. The school is also currently preparing for its 125 years celebration . Anyone who has any old photos, memorabilia, articles or old stories associated with the school is invited to drop them into the school before April 26, as the school is intending putting a commemorative booklet together. All photos will be returned to the owners once they are copied.
The proposed date for the celebration is Friday June 14, and people are asked to inform all friends and family of this date and invite them to come along and celebrate this great occasion for the school.
