Ballypickas Field Day will take place on Sunday July 21, from 2pm in the GAA grounds with events for all the family. Due to the success of the Laois Minor Hurlers who will now compete in the Leinster Final on July 7, we have had to re-schedule our Field Day. We will hold a number for events for free - kids races, kids hurling games, skills competition. We will also hold a number of fun fundraising events, including: face painting, tatoos, meggers, bowls, ring toss, ‘turf-stacking’ competition, refreshments, and much more! On Field Day we will GUNGE someone - the person with the most nominations will be gunged...! Free admission. All welcome.

The Abbeyleix Manor Hotel is hosting an exhibition on July 3 from 8pm to 10pm. This exhibition is to promote Laois arts, crafts, produce and the relaunch of their gift shop. East Coast Jazz band will be playing for the duration. We have 32 traders exhibiting and seller their goods on the night.

Open Day

Abbeyleix and Portlaoise Lions clubs are holding an open day at Abbeyleix Estate Gardens on Sunday July 7 from 2pm – 6pm. Light refreshments will be available in the courtyard.
