RATHDOWNEY ERRILL GAA Club
Will hold their annual auction on Sunday, November 24 in St Bernadette’s hall, Errill. This has been a very successful fundraiser for the club so all support would be greatly appreciated.
On the day there will be all sorts, from fuel for the winter to hurling gear for the summer. Spin the wheel will also take place which has proven to big a huge success for young and old. Santa will also be making an appearance so come along and see what bargains can be got. Great prizes to giveaway the draw will take place on the day of the auction.

There was no winner in this week’s jackpot which was €10,450. The numbers drawn were 11, 15, 21, 26. The 10 winners of €15 were S and N Meagher, Joseph Whelan, Dubhie, Gerry Keogh, B. King, Frank White, Jim Houlihan, Matt Fitzpatrick, John Bolger, Nelly Bergin. Next week’s jackpot will be €10,600. Tickets can be purchased from all local shops or any promoter.
SCOUTS say Thanks
2nd Laois Rathdowney would like to say a huge thank you to Easyriders Chartity Cycle committee who presented them with a cheque for €1,000 towards equipment at their recent presentation night.
We as scouts are very grateful for this contribution and are looking forward to our first cub camp in April. Thank you to all the cyclists, who cycled from Rathdowney to Donegal and raised over €15,000 for charity.
A great bingo is held every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in the Rathdowney Community Centre. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Bingo is run by the Community Centre Group.
OSSORY CYCLING CLUB
The annual general meeting of the club will be held on Thursday, November 28 in O’Reilly’s lounge at 8.30pm.
It is hoped to see many club members in attendance. For those interested in some winter training, turbo training classes are on every Wednesday in the Marion centre at 8pm sharp. The only criteria is that you must have your own turbo trainer.
Cost of training €1 per night.

Computer classes for men are on every Wednesday morning 11am - 1pm in the old convent school, catering for all skill levels from beginners.
Art classes take place in the Men’s shed on Tuesday nights from 7 - 9pm, €2 per night. The Men’s Shed is open every Thursday morning from 10am - 12pm in the old convent school, the new heating system is up and running so a nice warm welcome will greet you on arrival. New members welcome every week.

Meet on Friday mornings 10am - 12pm in the Marion Centre. All welcome, parents and minders with children from new born to pre-school.
