The annual general meeting took place on Thursday night presided over by Mary Keenan guild president. Votes of sympathy were passes with the following Tobin family Fr O’Connor cres, De-La-Salle Castletown, Lanham /Fitzgerald families Mountrath, Foyle family Mountrath. Delaney family Knockbrack, Relatives of Nan Peters, Sinnott family Mountrath, Noreen Byrne. The Information Officer was made very welcome to our meeting ICA Choir will visit Abbeyleix Hospital on May 13 at 1 30pm and St Vincents Hospital Mountmellick on May 14.

The meeting was handed over to Noreen Byrne to over see the election of officers for the comming year president Ann Phelan Vice president Mary Keenan, Sec Margaret Parkinson, Tr Eileen Larkin, Pro Emily Jackson. Overall competition winners for the year are as follows Ann Tiernan Betty Gorman, Ann Fitzpatrick, The outgoing officers were thanked for all there hard work and incomming officers were wished well for the year ahead. Competition winners on the night were Ann Tiernan, Ann Phelan, Ann Dollard. Competition for May Nicest Apron Hostess for May Joan Ferns Nan Cordial Kathleen Flanagan Raffle winner Ann Phelan. Outgoing president thanked Noreen for coming and ladies for lovely supper .

Laois Federation AGM takes place on April 23 in Mountmellick. which some members will attend.Produce day in ICA HALL Castletown on Saturday May 10 cost is €10 per head, at starts at 10am -4pm.

Ladies Training

Ladies circuit training in the ICA Hall Mondays & Wednesdays, 8-9pm. €4 per class. All welcome. Call Paul 0852162979.

Juvenile Club

There will be a clothing re-cycling drive on Saturday April 12 in aid of Naomh Éamann Juvenile GAA club. Please bag and drop off all your clean unwanted clothes to the Castletown GAA Grounds 11am and 12.15pm. If you cannot make it contact a committee member to arrange collection.
