Coláiste Phobal Roscré 5th year student Paul Crampton is one of two Irish German students representing Ireland at the International German Olympiad in Frankfurt this August.

German students from 50 countries will be represented. After coming through a preliminary round in Thurles, Paul and another classmate Eoin Hobbs travelled to the Goethe Institute Dublin. They did another exam and an oral presentation. Paul was successful in being chosen, but also congratulations to Eoin, who performed very well and represented the school to a very high standard.

Not only is Paul representing Ireland, but he was also a winner in the senior section of the Irish-Austrian Society National German Essay competition.
