The CYMS recently ran two very successful billard tournaments. The first was the juvenile tournament which was for the Maurice Holohan shield, with a large number of entrants, the final was contested by two excellent players, Thep Fitzpatrick and Jason Alley, with Thep being the winner. Congratulations to Thep and to all the competitors who made it a very sporting event. The senior final was for the John O’ Malley cup and this was between Joe Doheny and Liam O’Brien. It was a very exciting game and many congratulations to Joe on being the eventual winner. Well done also to Liam on being a very gracious runner up. Thanks and congratulations also to all who competed for this cup. The CYMS is now only open on Friday evenings between 7.30 and 10.00pm for the summer months, so come along and enjoy a game or two.
