Late Joseph Egan
Condolences to the family of the late John Joe Egan, Cascade Street, Rathdowney, who died on January 7 following a brief illness. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters William, Eddie, Paddy, Maisie and Anna; deeply regretted by extended family relatives and friends. Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney. Removal to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney for Funeral Mass burial in Donaghmore Cemetery.
The committee would like to thank all those involved in the recent Maurice Holohan memorial cup billards tournament. The final, which was held recently was a fantastic game between two excellent players Laim O Brien and Fergal O Reilly. Liam O’Brien emerged as the eventual winner. A presentation was made to Liam on the night by the McHugh family.
The committee would like to say thank you to everyone who helped out on the night providing refreshments, score keeping, referee etc.
The CYMS is open from Monday to Friday from 7.30pm onwards with many tournaments being run through-out the week.
Membership fees can be given to any committee member, families €30, seniors €20 and juniors €10.
The Annual General Meeting of the Easyriders group will take place in Ian Maher’s on Saturday January 31, at 9.30pm. This year’s committee is stepping down so please attend if you have any interest or ideas. Many Thanks.

There was no winner in this week’s Jackpot which was €7,450. The numbers drawn were 16, 19, 22, 23. Next week’s Jackpot will be €7,600. Tickets can be purchased in all shops or from any local promoter.
